Watercolour Study: Still life with corn

Yet another assignment left over from the watercolour course I took at OCAD. Watercolour is such a challenging medium and I had my fair share of frustrations in this course (particularly wet-on-wet painting!)...and of course you will only see what I consider to be the best of what I could do. On the positive side it is actually quite relaxing and satisfying once you get the hang of it and I'd definitely like to do more with it once this course is finished. I encourage everyone to visit my teacher's website to see his work-- I definitely had a lot to learn from him.
He set up such great still life compositions for us which I attest any strength in my own paintings to. We all felt very intimidated by painting corn but he showed us a very easy technique for it. He liked mine enough to put it on display in the foyer :)
