Cheap Fruit!

I've taken a detour back to my comfort zone today by working in oils, though truth be said every medium has it's obstacles. With oil paint it's trying to avoid muddying your colours. You do this by laying down plains of local colour as you see it at it's most basic-- red goes here, green goes there...etc...and avoid too much over-lapping at first. This is a lesson I'm always sort of forgetting and learning again so I write this, too, as a reminder to myself.
Jason and I got a great deal the other night on fruit-- lots and lots of fruit. We may have gone overboard a bit, but it makes pretty nice composition!
